Wellshire golf course is one of Denver ́s best public golf courses. Originally, it was a private country club that was purchased by the city and county of Denver when the club experienced difficult financial times in the 1950 ́s. The course was originally built in 1926 by Donald Ross and remains today as one of the most picturesque golf courses in Denver. The historic Wellshire Inn remains as a fine, gourmet restaurant that is open to the public.
